Combined, these have made Indianapolis a fertile ground for life sciences companies—and a place that is continually attracting new life sciences dollars and support. Several local initiatives ensure Indy remains synonymous with life sciences:
- Biocrossroads: Statewide initiative to advance the life sciences sector that has raised more than $235 million for Indiana life science opportunities.
- Indiana Health Industry Forum: Alliance of manufacturers, healthcare providers, suppliers, educational institutions, service providers and government officials working to enhance business networks, develop workforce skills and provide strategic vision to grow Indiana’s health industry.
- Indiana Health Information Exchange: Regional health information network – considered the most advanced in the United States – focused on delivering information at the most critical time: at the point-of-care.
- Indiana Medical Device Manufacturers Council Inc.: Association of nearly 60 medical device manufacturers and other companies that work on behalf of the broader medical device industry in Indiana.
